My First Self Made Coffee

Hi guys,

I hope you all doing well. We all might have made coffee or tea for the first time in our life.

Today, my son was making his cold coffee for the first time. He is just 13 years old. He was super excited when he was making it…. only a cup of coffee n so much of excitement!!! This whole reminded me of my first self made coffee back in my days. I was also 13 years old when I tried it for the first time. I was always good at garnishing, I remember, Well even today I am good at it. My mom use to cook and if it was supposed to be cooked for some guest, my job was to garnish it, but only if my mood allowed to do so. My mom never allowed me to enter her kitchen. She always said, “making you cook in the kitchen means messing up with my tidy kitchen”. She only allowed me to make PIZZA in the OTG for two reasons. Firstly, she didn’t know how to cook pizza. Secondly, I was excellent at making pizza’s. All in my family liked veg-pizza made by me. They were yummy!!! Undoubtedly, I still excel in making one.

One day my uncle paid his visit to our house. He was also fond of hot coffee, as was I.

I have always been like a daughter to him. This uncle was no-one else, but my mom’s real brother(my mama as we call in INDIA). And most of my habits still are on him till today. He told my mom that let Tinky(my nick name) make the coffee today. I was super excited and nervous at the same time. I still can recall that very moment. I excitedly went to the kitchen and definitely took my moms help to make it but most of the steps were done by me. I made it and my presentation made it look even more tempting.

while serving the coffee my hands were trembling. I was waiting to hear from everyone weather the coffee was perfect or not. Everyone started having it and my ears were waiting to hear the comment. there was a pin drop silence till 5 minutes and my heart beat was running faster and faster as if my board result is about to be announced! I was watching everyone’s face and was trying to figure out the real impressions .

But finally my mama said ,’wow, the coffee is great’. And followed by his comment every one commented the same. I went outside the room as my tears started dripping out of my eyes and quickly wiped them off and came back to sit where I was sitting earlier. But I was happy. very happy………

After that day onwards my job was also to make coffee for the guests. We as a kid are so pure that every little thing affects our mood and matter to us. we take everything so seriously. we are unaware of practicality of life and take things tooo deeply.

We must cherish every moment as we use to as kids. we must live our life as a kid.

so , next time when someone is serving or making a first dish of his or her life, please handle with care 🙂
